PRODUCTION WORKERS

Job Title:  Production Worker

Reports To:  Field Superintendent  / Safety Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs production activities as directed by the assigned Production Foremen and per the company policies.   

RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:

  • Be a Professional:
    1. Look, act and perform as a master of your trade 100% of the time.
    2. Represent the Conflo Production TEAM at all times by wearing your company uniform consisting of Conflo’s yellow work shirt, Conflo’s hard hat and Conflo’s safety vest and jeans.
    3. Arrive at the jobsite 15 minutes before the job start time so that you are totally fitted in PPE and starting your assigned work at the job start time. Each tardiness will be noted and filed in your employment folder at the office.  After three times being late, you will be terminated.
  • Meet Job Expectations:
    1. You are expected to have and maintain your personal tools and your Conflo assigned personal protection equipment at all times. These tools and / or PPE must be stored in appropriate tool boxes or sealed bags at all times when not being used.  Loss of Conflo assigned equipment may be back-charged to the employee.  You will be sent home without pay for failing to come to work prepared.
    2. Maintain your time sheets and get them authorized by the Production Foreman at the end of each day. Submit these at the end of each work week to your foreman so you can get payed.
    3. Understand your scope of work and at all times and meet the production goals as set by the foreman daily.
    4. Safety on a job site is your responsibility. Attend and personally sign into the job safety meeting every morning. You are expected to bring any safety concerns you have to the attention of the foreman and / or correct the concern immediately.  Your concerns are to include the safety of other co-workers.  Stop others from working unsafely or from using damaged tools and equipment.
  • Enforce Conflo’s Code of Conduct:
    1. No one is allowed to have and/or use a cell phone within a Conflo jobsite (except the foreman). Phones are to be left in vehicles and are to be used during lunch break or excused break.
    2. The playing of music (including with earphones), eating, drinking, smoking or sleeping is not allowed within the immediate work area
    3. Excessive non-work related talking during working hours is a safety hazard and loses production time and will not be tolerated.
    4. Foul language, gesturing or fighting will not be tolerated on any Conflo site
    5. Field employees are obligated to respect and report thru Conflo’s chain of command; Production Workers > Production Foreman > Field Superintendent > Production Manager > HR. 
  1. If for any reason, you are unable to attend your job assignment, you must inform your assigned foreman or the Production Superintendent at least 2 hours of the start time. If you fail to show up for work and fail to forewarn your foreman or Superintendent, assignment to another job will be at Conflo’s discretion.  Three (3) such unexcused offenses will result in your termination.
  2. Workers will be assigned to jobs on an individual basis and you must be able to get to and from a job and work independently of other co-workers.
  3. Conflo reserves the right to randomly test an employee for drugs and/or alcohol when on a job. Workers found under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while on Conflo time will be sent home via third party means at their own expense and terminated immediately.
  • Rules of Engagement:
    1. An employee’s rate of pay is personal and confidential and divulging such information is prohibited. Anyone involved in such discussions will be terminated immediately.
    2. As a reflection of the general abatement industry, Conflo’s business is seasonal. Even though our estimating department strives to provide continuous work for all Conflo field employees, there will be periods during which you will not be assigned to a job and as an hourly employee, you will not be paid.  It is recognized that during these non-working periods you may solicit and go to work for another contractor.
    3. During those periods in which you are not assigned to a job but you remain available to work with Conflo, it is your responsibility to contact either the Field Superintendent or Production Manager via text message of your availability for work.
    4. Conflo reserves the right to randomly test an employee for drugs and/or alcohol when on a job. Workers found under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while on Conflo time will be sent home via third party means at their own expense and terminated immediately.
    5. We operate under the ‘Three Strike Rule’ wherein three recorded violations of any of the above stipulated responsibilities / expectations will result in your termination.

  • Reasoning Ability: Must be able to solve practical problems.
  • Teamwork: Must be a team player.
